Erica Harrop, Founder and CEO of Global Package, is thrilled to announce the addition of her son, Daniel, to the Global Package sales team.

“Needless to say, Daniel has been immersed in the wine and spirits industry since childhood, and I am so happy he wanted to continue that interest as a professional,” says Erica Harrop.

Daniel graduated from Sonoma State in May 2021 with a B.A. in Business Administration and a concentration in Wine Business Strategies, including a WSET certification, bestowed by The Wine & Spirit Education Trust, which is a global organization that arranges courses and exams in the fields of wine, spirits, beer, and sake.

Upon graduation, Daniel worked for Advantage Solutions Marketing Partners as Business Development Representative for Anheuser-Busch LLC, where he introduced and grew their new Seltzer brands and Cutwater Cocktails, overseeing all facets of these launches. According to Daniel, “that experience cemented my allegiance to the industry. I loved making new account relationships—from small gas stations to Stater Brothers and BevMo! Stores—as well as conducting placement trials and tracking sales.”

Prior to his work with Anheuser-Busch, Daniel was Operations Assistant with Global Package for five years, where he managed inventory, audited inbound/outbound loads, delivered directly to wineries, and resolved warehouse disputes and discrepancies. For a brief time in 2017, he was also a General Warehouse worker for Creative Oak in Benecia, CA.

“Daniel has not only paid his dues, he has also earned his wings in our industry,” says Erica. “He’s excelled in both production and packaging aspects and is a strategic thinker, which will be an essential asset for us as our industry undergoes rapid change.”

Effective immediately, Daniel will begin developing and expanding relationships in Southern California and Oregon for Global Package’s glass products, including those for its wine and spirits clientele in the premium and ultra-premium categories.

“I’m excited to begin this new career journey,” Daniel says. “With her passion for the industry, my mom has steered Global Package into being a leading provider of exceptional glass and service. I am proud to become an integral player for her and her outstanding team.”
