Columbus McKinnon Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of intelligent motion solutions, is exhibiting its latest conveyance solutions that bring speed, efficiency and automation to industries, including the new C3 Belted Curve conveyor from Dorner, in booth 1509, at the inaugural PACK EXPO Southeast, March 10-12, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Joining Dorner at PACK EXPO Southeast are fellow Columbus McKinnon brands Garvey and montratec.
Dorner is a global expert in conveyor automation system design, manufacturing and integration. Garvey is a recognized specialist in conveying, accumulation, and automation solutions, while montratec is a global innovator of modular monorail systems for transport and process automation.
Leading off PACK EXPO Southeast is Dorner’s newest conveyor, the C3 Belted Curve conveyor. The C3 offers an economical and gentle material handling solution for production line configurations with curves and turns. The conveyor uses an FDA-approved fabric belting to facilitate both a 90-degree and 180-degree curve. The C3 is a key breakthrough for companies across a multitude of industries that need to maximize footprint while improving overall throughput in the facility. Because of the FDA-approved belting and stainless bed plate, this product complies with BISSC standards making it perfect for any bakery or confectionary production setting.
The C3 will be demonstrating its capabilities integrated in a loop with a 3200 Series Retracting Tail conveyor. Retractable conveyors are conveyor frames that can retract, or extend, manually or pneumatically for use in a variety of applications, including rejecting, depositing, product routing, stacking, or walk-through.
Another Dorner conveyance system in action at PACK EXPO Southeast is a demonstration loop highlighting its sanitary platforms. This loop stars Dorner’s AquaPruf VBT (Vertical Belt Technology) conveyor, which is designed to move bulk products in straight-up 90° sanitary applications and features a proprietary staggered sidewall belt for increased pocket capacity. The AquaPruf family of conveyors deliver the highest level of sanitary attributes as they are designed to withstand high-pressure and chemical washes. Rounding out the sanitary loop is the AquaGard LPZ Conveyor, which can be configured with one or two fixed angle points that allow the conveyor to accommodate a variety of height and angle requirements. The AquaGard family of conveyors are engineered for packaging and processing applications that call for intermittent dry wipedowns or washdowns with soap and water.
In addition to the sanitary loop, Dorner is exhibiting its FlexMove Wedge conveyor, which is designed to facilitate the swift and secure transfer of products between different levels on the production floor. Constructed with lightweight yet durable materials such as aluminum or stainless steel, the conveyor offers rapid transfer rates ideal for continuous, high-capacity operations.
Fellow Columbus McKinnon brand Garvey is exhibiting its GRX Infinity™ Accumulation Table, a solution that uses patented technology to accumulate and single file unstable products at high speeds. This design enables the accumulation table to safely handle products with no back pressure, no breakage, no label damage and minimal noise. System can be installed as a buffer system, multi-lane device, or an unscrambler, and functions smoothly at high speeds. All interior surfaces are angled to prevent debris from collecting; complete access to all interior and exterior surfaces for each cleaning to meet FDA standards.
Finally, German-based montratec will be demonstrating its montrac Shuttles, which are intelligent single, or twin-axle conveyors equipped with an on-board power supply. This intralogistics solution minimizes cycle times and maximizes customer operational throughput. montratec solutions use asynchronous movement of shuttles that allow products to be moved independently in multiple directions at varying speeds to balance production lines, increasing flexibility and productivity. montratec also brings a higher level of cleanroom certification that expands market access in the battery, EV, life sciences, electronics, and semiconductor industries.
